When Alastair came into the MaxDiamonds workshop he showed us a base metal and paste sample ring that his partner (soon to be fiancé?) had bought back from a wedding fair a little while back and told him 'this is the ring I'd like!'
Alastair wanted us to hand-make an exact replica engagement ring, and after picking a beautiful diamond centre, that's exactly what we did.
This was the model to copy, Alastair's chosen diamond and our fresh platinum being milled.
Alastair’s new Platinum ring mount (on right) has now been made and is ready for diamond shoulders to be added.
Alastair was over the moon with how identical they looked but with the quality and weight of an exquisite handmade piece of jewellery.
I believe he is proposing imminently!???
