Jessica Rose, the founder of the London Jewellery School, has been named as one of 22 shortlisted candidates for the prestigious Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the British Young Business Awards.
Other nominees have created companies in areas as diverse as food, social media and retail, but Jessica’s business is focused on craft and creativity. She established the school in Hatton Garden in 2009, aged just 21, but has transformed it into a thriving business with more than 6,000 students in attendance each year.
Commenting on her achievement, Jessica said: “It is fantastic that a business that is about jewellery, craft and making is recognised for success alongside big international online brands and longer established enterprises.”
“I set up the jewellery school out of a passion for jewellery making and facilitating creativity; to see that grow and flourish is an amazing feeling.”
The winner of the award will be announced on August 12th at a celebration at The Porchester Hall, but you can also watch on Information TV (Sky channel 191) if you can’t make it in person. We’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate Jessica on the achievement of being shortlisted, and wish her the very best of luck for the final ceremony!
Through the two schools, we have various partnerships and deliver professional diploma programmes as well as jewellery tool ranges that are sold online and in over 80 HobbyCraft shops throughout the UK.
