With a rainbow selection of loose gemstones and gem-set jewellery for you to choose from, their team of gemmologists can advise you on the appropriate choice for you. Emeralds to rubies, amethysts to sapphires, round, princess cut, oval, cushion, faceted, cabochon or drop shaped. If they don’t have exactly what you want, speak to their lapidary team to source or cut a bespoke item for you.
Gemstones
Holts Lapidary has an extensive collection of rough and polished materials sourced from all around the globe for the past 71 years – with some rare items collected by Mr Holt himself during his early travels to China, Brazil and Africa in the 1950s. It really is a treasure trove in the heart of Hatton Garden. Specialising in certified natural, unheated Sapphires, as well as many rare and unusual gem and crystal specimens, Holts continually buy from around the world so there is always something new and exciting for our customers.
Knowledge of coloured gemstones
Being members of the National Association of Jewellers (NAJ) and of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (GEM-A) and being awarded Retail Jeweller of the Year, you can be assured of quality craftsmanship and of deep and extensive knowledge of coloured gemstones and gemstone jewellery. Its team of Gemmologists and Lapidaries are its pride and joy; having won many industry awards for the meticulous craftmanship it delivers to some of the most famous jewellery and design houses including Faberge, Cartier and Asprey. Their in-house workshop provides a full range of lapidary services, such as carving, faceting, polishing and restoration, from their in-house workshop. With a combined total of 81 years experience, Holts’ highly accomplished Lapidary department will be happy to assist you with your project.
